Hi Kev, I didn't realize it has been 2 years since the last time I viewed your profile here.
I'm back! :)
I'm back! :)
hi thanks for viewing my profile :)
Hi! Nice profile. Lets be friends ))
You couldn't be more right bro. I personally miss the days of Black Star, Dead Prez, KRS-ONE. I know it's a little before my time, but music meant something back then. It wasn't just a paycheck, or making singles talking about your paycheck you made from the single you just released. It had power. It had heart and soul. That doesn't mean anything these days, and it's heart breaking.
Independent is the best way to go if you want creative control. I think every artist on a major figures out how to work around the incredibly complicated business of a major, and that's why they succeed. I think people like DJ Khaled are successful because they know how to tweak the system, as opposed to working in it. It's a brilliance only a few people have haha.
I hope your original work comes back on track soon, I'm real curious to check you out. I think my soul searching in the music industry is leading me to a more opinionated side of the game. Podcasts, radio, interviews, promo, things like that. I can't say I wouldn't want to be in a booth, but I think Analyzing the game is better for me than being directly in it. ha.
I'm doing the best I can following whatever path he's putting me on, I hope you're doing the same man!

Hey Kevin, it's nice to meet you. I'm Casey. I saw your profile and I just gotta tell you, that if you listen to everyone you mentioned in your favorite music, then you have impeccable taste. hahaha. I'm a hip hop head myself, and I'd love to be in the music industry, but I guess you can say I'm still "finding myself". Anyway, I just wanted to stop by and wish you luck on your quest to make it in the industry. It's rough and incredibly hard, but anything's possible if you Afrika Bambattaa and Kool Herc as inspiration. I can't tell you the last time I heard ANYONE reference them. It saddens me.
hi there how are you doing today i was just check out your profile and i would like too be your friend if dont mind
