Even after our family was torn asunder, we loved you from afar. We kept thinking of you, all that time, wishing we could contact you.

Fate intervened, and totally unexpectedly, I ran into you on Interpals in 2011, after many years. The odds of this were astronomical. I was granted an extraordinary privilege to correspond with you in the last months and years of your life. We exchanged thoughts, and you seemed to never quite realize that I was your cousin, even though it was the first thing I told you when we said hello.

Things were fragile, and I was afraid that 'something' would happen...and it did.

Nonetheless, what extraordinary good fortune it was for you to achieve all that you achieved, and how extraordinary was our encounter.

Tasha, I will always remember you.
